The solution: AI-coordinated, optionally piloted Bell 205s

One command station. One shared 3D picture of the fire. Helicopters that fly the plan — with or without a pilot aboard.
Central AI command
A ground station within 20 km of the fire builds the live 3D model, proposes plans of attack to the incident commander, and tasks every aircraft from one picture.
A surveyor above the fire
A medium-altitude FLIR drone maps the terrain, tracks the fire's evolution and spot fires, and relays data to the helicopters — 24 h a day.
Optionally piloted Bell 205s
Water-carrying helicopters that fly the plan autonomously, or with a pilot aboard who can take control at any moment and sees the next steps on a dedicated display.
Precision where it matters
GPS plus local laser guidance at the water points and at the drop: under a metre. Night, smoke and power lines are handled by the model, not by eyesight.
